The Methodist Church has deep roots here on Chebeague and our story continues to evolve in response to the changing times. On September 1st, 2021, we disaffiliated from the United Methodist Church to become the Chebeague Community Church. Below are snapshots of our history and the ways that the church has continued to be a center of community here on the island.
