Come as you are and join us for worship at 10 AM on Sunday mornings. (Coming from the mainland? Find directions here). We believe church is a place where all are welcome - you don't need to pretend be perfect or have your life all together. In worship, we journey together with all our doubts, fears, questions, longings, struggles, joys, and celebrations. God draws all of us into one family around Christ and loves us no matter who we are or where we come from.
Our worship is a mix of traditional liturgy and interactive, intergenerational activity. We believe that God speaks and works through all people and that everyone experiences God in a variety of ways - through song, image, ritual, movement, and the spoken word. We sing new hymns and old favorites. We hope that God's spirit will speak to you through some part of our worship gathering.
Our youngest disciples are welcome to join us in worship. We do have Deep Blue Kids, our Sunday School program, that starts at 9:45 AM in the Parish House. Kids come over to worship for the first part of our gathering and after the Children's Moment are welcome to continue with Sunday School or stay in the sanctuary.
Following our time of worship, we have coffee fellowship across the street in the Parish House. It's the perfect opportunity to connect with friends new and old at the Chebeague Island UMC. We also have childcare available in the Parish House following the Children's Sermon.
