Dear Friends of the Chebeague Community Church,
The Earth is dominated by rhythms - the tides, the seasons, the sun, the moon. Living in harmony with nature is the key to health and well-being. And the reminders are all around us if we only pause for a moment. Whether it's the ocean you cross on the Independence to commute to work, the cove that calls your name, the bright flowers of the island or the cry of the seagull, do not glaze over. Open all of your senses and breathe in the spirit of life that God puts before us each day to remind us to be one with the rhythm of nature. The beauty around us leads us to an appreciation of God's glory. The sense of wonder nurtures our soul and reminds us to slow down and connect with the Holy Spirit. For his invisible attributes, that is, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen since the creation of the world, being understood through what he has made. - Romans 1:20 May you continue to marvel in the nature around you - with the faith, love, gratitude and wonder God has put before you. For indeed it's true. You are never alone. In faith, Rochelle/Shelly Rice CCC Council Chair, 2023

Dear Friends of the Chebeague Community Church,
We are indeed a community of care! From our Lobster Roll Luncheon to the Celebration of Life for Deb Bowman, we are buoyed by the care, generosity, and open hearts of our community. Our sincere thanks for shining so brightly with your skills and talents! Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. 9 Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. 10 Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace in its various forms. -1 Peter 4:8-11 Our hearts are full and the winds of faith are at our backs. With gratitude and appreciation, Rochelle/Shelly Rice and the entire Council |
